Hiking at the Bridge of Plaka

One of the most emblematic landscapes in the area of Tzoumerka is the Canyon of Arachthos! The Canyon with the high vertical peaks and the deep blue and impetuous river that runs through it. The river is surrounded from beautiful forests, sources with clear water, plane trees and impressive, abrupt mountain peaks. It is a landscape of incomparable beauty that you hardly meet in Greece.

The Hiking at the Bridge of Plaka is a small, medium hiking till the exit of the Arachthos Canyon, till the church of St. Bill, with view the emblematic peaks of Tzoumerka and the open valley of Arachthos. The route is easy, suitable for all, regardless age or experience. The distance is 3+3 kilometers and we need almost 2 hours for its completion. In the middle of the route we have the chance to tour at the biggest single-arched bridge in Greece, the known Bridge of Plaka.
